How do I get a cleaning estimate?

To get a cleaning estimate is very simple, just call our office or contact us by e-mail and we will set you up for a free estimate. We prefer to visit your cottage or home to give an accurate quote.

How long will the estimate take?

An estimate would take approx. ½ - 1hour, this also depends on the size on your cottage or home.

Is Severn Cottage Services Insured and/ or Bonded?

Yes! We are fully insured and bonded.

Do I need to provide any supplies or equipment?

Severn Cottage Services does provide their own supplies and equipment. However, if you would like us to use your own supplies and equipment that is also ok, we do have a list of certain supplies that we would like for you to provide to minimize our staffs exposure to non Green Products.

How do I pay for the service?

Severn Cottage Services will accept; Visa, MasterCard, Debit, PayPal and cheque.

At what time will you be at my cottage or home?

We will be at your house during the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm. For more specific information regarding this question the answer will result on your needs and wants as a customer. Unless you have a specific time we will do our best to meet your time.

Do I have to sign a contract?

Yes, we require each of our clients to sign a contract. This is to benefit both of us so we agree on the terms and pricing, ensure that we clearly understand what you expect from us and what we are going to provide to you! We still believe in a handshake being a man's word but like to back that up with an agreement to ensure we have a long beneficial relationship and no misunderstandings!

Who has access to the keys of my house?

The only people that will have access to your house will be management and the team that is put on the route which your house falls on. For the days that your house is not being cleaned your house keys will be locked in a safe box.

Will my keys be secure if left with Severn Cottage Services?

Yes! Your keys will be locked in a safe when not required. The keys will only be used on the day(s) of your scheduled cleaning and returned to our safe.

Will my privacy be respected?

Yes! Your personal information will be kept in an encrypted file. We do not share any of our customers personal information.

Do you provide receipts?

Yes, Severn Cottage Services does provide receipts.

Do you use green products?

Yes, we do use green products.

Do you work in teams?

Yes, we like to work in a minimum of two people per team. Unless we are training new personnel, then the there could be three people in a team.

What if my cleaning service falls on a holiday?

Severn Cottage Services will reschedule the customers cleaning at a time that is most suitable for the customer

Severn Cottage Services will reschedule the customers cleaning at a time that is most suitable for the customer.

My cottage is not on a year round road, do you still provide Cottage Cleaning?

Yes definitely! We are accustomed to accessing remote properties either water access or by un assumed roads. We provide our own transportation for any of our services including boats, ATV's, snowmobiles and 4 x 4 vehicles.

Do I have to do anything before the cleaning?

We like to ask our customers to keep the clutter in the house organized and put away to allow us to provide you with a more thorough cleaning.

Do I have to be at the house while the cleaning is taking place?

This is to the customer’s preference, if you would like to be at your house at the time of the cleaning that is ok. As well it is ok if you prefer not to be at the house during the cleaning. All our staff are bonded and insured.

How do I give feedback?

We will have a overall feedback questionnaire every six months or as per your request.

Do you wear uniforms?

Yes, Severn cottage cleaning staffs do wear uniforms.

Do we pay for referrals?

Yes, Severn Cottage Services does provide a 10% discount to those who have been referred to our business.

Do you have group rates for Cottagers?

Yes! We have a discount rate for 5 or more cottages, providing they are all on the same cottage road.

Is Cottage and Home Cleaning seasonal?

No! You can arrange to have seasonal or year round scheduled cleaning! We can custom tailor a cleaning program that suites your needs and budget.

Do you allow for tips?

Yes, tips are greatly appreciated by the staff members.

Can Severn Cottage Services provide services other than Cottage & Home Cleaning?

Yes Definitely! To complement our Cottage and Home Cleaning we provide Cottage and Home Watch, Cottage and Home Liaison Services, Cottage Rental Services and Other Services by request!
